Euro Car Show
Icehall, Helsinki, 8.5.1999

Euro Car Show was held third time in row in Icehall of Helsinki. It has been called VW Expo previous times. The organizer has good ideas and contacts, but the show is somehow not complete. Show has now more Euro cars than just Air-Cooled Volkswagens but it left sort of mixed feelings for me.

I am into Vintage Volkswagens and Porsches big time, European classics are OK, but I hate teenagers with their Ford Sierras etc and "tuning" bullshit in general. I have had my share of fuzzy dices and wunderbaums 10 years ago..

Arabia Slugs brought some of their Historic racers to the show and decorated their department as a pit. Blue Volkswagens rule..
This unique creation is actually a 911 Porsche with an Oval Beetle body.
Luftstink eh. Luftsick surprised us all by building an awesome club display and guys went home with well deserved #1 Club award.
Korrek stand on the right had Sumo's Type III. Arabia Slugs uses this period Teijo truck to transport their vintage racing cars. Teijo is a Volkswagen based (1600cc flat four FWD) utility vehicle, built by Wihuri in Finland in the 70's.
