Saturday morning in the swap meet and show area
Wolfsburg resident Tobias Pleines' awesome red Oval on the right made to Volksworld, gongrats to the
owner and really something to look forward in the mailbox. Along with locals there was an impressive
line of cars with DKT and DFL decals.
Georg Otto from VW Speed told cool story about these wheels. The brand is called Remotec and they were
offered for 911s in the 70s. Karsten Feldsieper who owns this car called to local Porsche dealership
and asked whether they had old Mahle wheels. He described Gas Burners and the guy on the other end
told they might have a set, well they weren't that but he got a set of really special wheels.
My colleague Marc Wöltinger from Switzerland (web-master of a really good Cal Look web-site) on the right..
Der Autobahn Scrapers
The unrestord black Oval of David Balland with Crestline wheels looks bit like the Ron Fleming car
in Seume's Cal Look book. One of my favourites was the pearl white 62/63(?) car of Thomas Mickael
with unrestored chromed Sprint Stars, I like the idea about clean fast non-show-off car.
DAS Muppet Racer

Early sunroof Oval of Philipe Fonseca with 356B brakes, NOS Rader wheels (from Kobus, who else..),
cabrio lid etc.
Camping area shots
Looks like Alhoracing has a buddy
in Luxembourg. To my surprise the guy who drove the car they used trailering the Looker spoke finnish.
Little something for Merca-Kungen :-)
Here is something for Hee-bah-bah.
Actually, I am seriously thinking about having a German Looker for the next project.
I really liked the lines of the car on the right. I still dislike 1302/03 (to me they're un-necessary
crossing between the real-Beetle and first generation Polo/Golf) models as before, but these two..
