The show seemed to be better than in years or maybe I am just getting bored with Volkswagens..
This '32 Ford was one of my favourite cars. The finned drums and classic mag wheels are always cool whether in
50's VW or in 30's Ford.
This '59 Corvette with 17" and 18" Torque Thrusts was one my favourites.
One thing organizers seems to screw up is the lightning in the hall. Dim lights, black
background and fences bit too close the cars. It is pretty difficult to get decent photos or at least with
my photographic skills/knowledge. This flathead photo turned out quite artistic.
Next few years will show whether my Cabriolet Beetle is enough cure for my middle age
crises :-)
Last year I especially digged about this metallic green '62 Beetle, the colour and wheel
combination still looks cool.
This is probably the French Look VW at it's best. Wild painting scheme matches the wild
engine. Too bad that fitting Porsche 6 engine in Karmann Ghia wouldn't be street legal in Finland.
Couple of Formula-Vs, the #16 seemed to have Mika Häkkinen's old helmet.
Pahis had swapped the stroker from his 356B to his old '63
Beetle. Probably the best Notchback in Finland on the right, at least the colour isn't the usual pea-soup
coloured beige.
This Volga is one of the wildest creations I have ever seen. It is totally hand built in
Russia with modern BMW engine. I cannot recall how Volga looks like but the side lines remained more like
60's Ferrari or some other Pininfarina creation than 4-door russian sedan car used to be.
