BBT
We had one full day to spend before PAT's Open Day so we decided to visit BBT and Bob van Heyst one more time. Bob's Volkswagen parts empire is in Sint Job in't Goor near Antwerpen. Weather looked generally lousy, while all of our Vintage Volkswagens didn't suit driving 3 adults on board we decided to rent some modern cheap as possible shit box that would take us to Antwerpen and back with no sweat. Local Hertz gave us a Ford Focus and off we went..

Cool patina Split for sale at BBT.

As Heebah commented, "this place is better than Wolfsburg Museum", I can add that we had best possible guide too.

Money shot :-) Bob told a great story about Teufel Heb's Okrasa engine being one of the very last Okrasas built in 70's using 50's parts. There was a bet between old Okrasa Split owner and Porsche 356 Pre-A owner about which car would be faster, so the Beetle guy contacted Öttinger to get a new 30hp Okrasa in 70's to prove his point.

Takashi Komori's 70's creation being prepared for EBI.

Bob wife's '60 Cabriolet photographed from the angle Cabriolets look the best IMHO. Hope that my '60 would look as good as this one some day, good benchmark :-)

Two of the ultimate open top 50's aircooled sportscars, part I, Porsche Speedster..

and part II, Denzel..

I am not big fan of late models but this 1302 Öttinger Cabrioled had, in IT-terms, "all correct checkboxes ticked".. Okay, I would perhaps take off the foglights and some of the additional gauges.. But still, very nice.
