What I mean by Classic California Look are cars that received the traditional treatment,
like one-piece door windows, dechroming, removing the bumbers, relocating the front indicators,
slamming equally on front and rear, modernized interior etc.
1) Make Railo's '70 Beetle. Even though it has been built in the early 90's
it still looks quite freshly built. It has all the classic gimmicks, this car is ageless..
2) This scalloped looker was photographed in '93 American Car Show, it was also featured in finnish
Stret & Race magazine.
3) Split Window photographed in '00 VW Open, it is really hard to put this car into specific category and I am
not sure if that is necessary..
4) This '63 Standard Beetle was built by Timo Kirkkomäki many years ago. Even though the car is totally rebuilt
it still looks similar when Kirkkis used to own it.
5) This Sunroof Oval built by Jaska Säilä had nice hot rod touch. Scallops were painted and pinstriped
(by hand of course) by his brother Teemu.
6) EPU-1 one of the very first Cal Lookers in Finland to follow the trends that are still popular.
