Owner: Tomi 'Heeba' Asikainen, WCA
Vesku from WCA is known from his rapid moves when something more interesting pops in the way. I don't know where he acquired the Ambulance, but he dumped it in the favour of a Pre-A 356. Our friend Heeba happened to be right time at the right place so he was able to add the 'Lance to his collection of VWs (existing Type I and III and now a Type II).
Slightly before the time of writing this page, Tomi bought another classic VW found by Vesku. This time it was a '51 sunroof sedan and Jussi from BUGPAJA managed to own it coupe of hours between Tomi and Vesku.
The 'Lance will probably hit the streets of Helsinki in the summer of '02 even though Heeba's main interest is his stroker-powered/Porsche-braked/Sprint Star-wheeled '61 Cal Look Sedan.

Besides some junk inherited probably from previous owner this 'Lance is sporting pretty solid sheetmetal,
for example the floor.
Side panels are quite straight also from outside view (as it usually is with Ambulances
or Fire Trucks). The headliner is like brand new, only the cargo area panels show some wear from the post
"medical use" years. Some of the visitors of WCA X-mas party kindly provided some graphics to the theme of the 'Lance.
