Micke's father Harry bought this Notcback in early 90's, some one had been preparing it to Jokkis-racing (Finnish garbage-can racing class) but luckily it was saved. Car was rusted around rear inner fenders and door openings, Jere Tapio did all of the welding during off week-ends from the Finnish Army.

The engine is VW Type III 1500 with 86mm cylinders, actual displacement is 1603cc.

Interior is made of gray and yellow vinyl stripes on gray leather. Car has quite heavy stereo system, 136 decibels have been measured.

Since Jere has involved in this project some carefully chosen accessories have been fitted like EMPI glovebox pull, VDM steering wheel, wood-slat roof rack.

At the VW Beach Party event in '97 this car won the Type III class and the proud owner Micke (4 years old) got the trophy and got bit disappointed since the prize did not include any candy :-)
