| Kustom Oval Owner: Pasi Paavola, Luftsick | |
|
Fellow Luftsick and KuplaKopla garage member Pasi Paavola finished building this '56 Kustom Oval couple of years ago among his many other project cars. Pasi is one of the most productive and innovative guys I've met in this hobby. His collection of cars include Volkswagens like '51 Split Window, '65 Beetle with sunroof, '56 Type II project, Kastenwagen with sunroof, East-European cars like Tatra 601 and Skoda Station Wagon and American cars like early 50's Hudson, early 60's Oldsmobile, couple of Dodge Monacos and Dodge Aspen for winter use..
One of the nicest custom touches is the rear bumper that is hanged with tailpipes, it also opens from the middle
making way for engine lid. Car wasn't original sunroof, but fitting a sunroof is almost a routine for Pasi, I have
lost count of how many sunroof conversions he has done to friend's rides besides three of his own Volkswagens.
