'63 Rusto-Looker
Owner: Pete Siiskonen, Luftsick

The number of '63 Gulf Blue Lookers in Helsinki seems to be static. At the time I sold my car, Pete was finishing his '63 Beetle. Pete's Beetle has been built in more and more popular trend, which is to make it look like it was built some 30 years ago and then left in garage. This is easy since, the car has been stored in a barn 30 years :-)

Everything was pretty much intact and none of the parts were missing. It required some welding, it won't be repainted but it probably receives some minor fixing. Interior is one of the best '62-'63s I have ever seen and came with the car. (I waited three years to find a set of mint seats.)

Traditional Sway-a-way adjusters were fitted in the front beam and naturally the brakes and link-pin assemblies are totally re-done. Pete will fit his stroker engine from his previous Looker project and he has chosen 5-lug Sprint Stars for wheels.
