EMPI 8-spoke has similar two-piece structure than 5-spoke. 8-spokes were available both tubeless and tube type.
Copies are manufactured again by Midland Wheel Supplies and American Eagle. The 8-spoke copies are probably the most
hated wheel in Cal Look crowd. Some of the copies have really ugly finish, MWS copies are probably better ones.
Originals can be distinquished again by the screws (4 of them) that attach the center cap and from the EMPI
globe logo between the spokes.
